I started my fitness journey with Beachbody at a very discouraging point in my life. I just had emergency surgery that left me on bedrest for weeks. Instead of coming out stronger than before, I came out lethargic and feeling my worst. I knew a change had to be made, but I had no idea where to start. I didn't have much confidence in myself because I had started and quit so many times.
I came to a point where I was depressed and having a hard time looking in the mirror because I knew what I saw was not the real me. Something had to be done and I knew it had to be done differently than what I'd done before so I got a hold of my friend and joined her next challenge group.
I had no idea what to expect. I didn't know if a group online could really help me stay on track to reach my goals, but with nothing to lose I gave it a shot!
Little did I know just how much it would change my fitness world. The group was all about fitness, nutrition, support, and accountability. Before, workouts would NOT happen on days where I woke up with no motivation but this time was different. I would check into the group, see pictures of people after workouts, motivation from the group leader, and encouragement from people seeing results. It was a mixture that fueled me every day!!
I wouldn't miss a workout unless it was out of my hands and if I did I would ALWAYS make it up. I thought to myself, who is this person?? I was transforming from the inside out. Working out, which was once more of a burden, was becoming part of my every day life like brushing my teeth. I had to do it or my day was off!
I looked forward to checking into the group every day to encourage others and be encouraged myself. It made pushing play that much more enjoyable for me, and since starting I have never looked back.
It took less time to transform my body than it did for me to cook dinner. I wasn't perfect by any means. I didn't always stick to my meal plan but I pushed play EVERY DAY because I knew it would work!
